A clinical study of acetyl spiramycin in the treatment of acute cystitis, gonococcal and non-gonococcal urethritis

Abstract
|
|
|
Thirty-four patients with acute cystitis, gonococcal and non-gonococcal urethritis have been treated with 7-day course of acetyl spiramycin and following results were obtained.
1. Clinical result of 12 cases of acute cystitis was excellent in 7 and good in 3, efficacy rate being 83%.
2. Clinical ´result of 8 cases of gonococcal urethritis was excellent in 4 and good in 2, efficacy rate being 75%.
3. Clinical result of 14 cases of non-gonococcal urethritis was excellent in 6 and good in 4, efficacy rate being 71%.
4. No significant side effect except mild indigestion and skin rash was observed.
In con-cystitis, clusion, acetyl s iramycin is a safe and very useful drug in treatment of acute gonococcal and non-gonococcal urethritis.
